At the heart of the Grassroots Alliance for Progress (GAP) is the conviction that sustainable national development begins with empowered citizens. Capacity Building and Empowerment is therefore a core pillar of GAP’s operations, designed to equip members with the skills, knowledge, confidence, and opportunities required to improve their livelihoods, strengthen civic participation, and contribute meaningfully to national progress.
GAP’s approach to capacity building is practical, inclusive, and impact-driven. It recognizes that many grassroots members face challenges such as unemployment, underemployment, limited access to training, and inadequate exposure to modern skills. Rather than leaving these burdens solely to government, GAP complements national efforts by preparing its members to be economically productive, socially responsible, and organizationally effective.
