GAP Launches Nationwide Ghana Month Costume Exercise to Mark Independence Celebrations
The Grassroots Alliance for Progress (GAP) has launched a nationwide Ghana Month Costume Exercise, encouraging all members across regions and constituencies to wear the official GAP attire throughout March in celebration of Ghana Month and the country’s Independence commemorations.
The initiative forms part of GAP’s broader cultural and civic engagement agenda aimed at promoting national identity, grassroots unity, and organizational visibility across Ghana. Members are urged to assemble within their local structures to take group photographs in their GAP costumes, symbolizing solidarity and shared commitment to community development and participatory citizenship.

According to the GAP National Secretariat, the month-long activity is designed to strengthen member cohesion while projecting a recognizable national presence of the Association at the community level. Regional and constituency leaders are expected to coordinate participation and documentation within their respective jurisdictions.
GAP noted that the exercise also aligns with its mission of fostering civic pride and grassroots participation in national observances, emphasizing that Ghana Month offers an opportunity for citizens and organizations alike to celebrate heritage, unity, and collective progress.
The Association has called on all members to actively participate throughout March, describing the exercise as both a patriotic expression and an organizational milestone toward strengthening grassroots identity nationwide.
